JEC Woodland dedicated to customer satisfaction through proven designs, innovation, and pinch valve performance to meet the most rigorous service conditions. Pinch valves manufactured with advanced technology and the highest standards in design and materials of construction to provide the longest sleeve life. Pinch valves by international standard ANSI B16.1 making them interchangeable with most ball valves, plug valves, gate valves, and diaphragm valves, etc.
Pinch valve rubber sleeves/muffs/tubes are available in a wide range of elastomer qualities including high-pressure, wear-resistant sleeves that outperform more expensive 316, stellite, or alloy ball, plug, globe, diaphragm valves in abrasive, scaling or corrosive services. Our expertise rubber sleeves with special reinforcement & two lugs on both sides attached to the pinching bars withstand even the most chemically aggressive, corrosive, and vacuum service conditions.
Pinch valves, where a rubber sleeve is protected under a cast iron, aluminum, or other metal split body design. The service material / fluid passing through does not come in contact with either body covering or any other metal parts of the pinch valve except the rubber sleeve / muff and hence the body and other metal parts are almost permanently not subjected to the corrosive action of the fluid. The flow-through the pinch valve is straight and full as that of a pipeline when the valve is fully open. Further, the collar of the rubber sleeve eliminates the use of any gasket. JEC manual pinch valve having simple rising spindle type operation makes the valve just simple as other wheel operated valve. Our Pinch valve has calibration with travel limit nut system and in-between stoppage will allow the desired throttling. JEC Pinch valve thus offers positive control overflowing media ensuring zero leakage shut-off.
inch Valve Sleeves provide lining, seating, and flange gasket. Since the rubber sleeves are only replacement parts of our Pinch valves, they are manufactured with the strict quality process under close supervision. The Rubber sleeve design consists of three layers: the inner layer, the reinforcement layer, and the outer layer. Our rubber sleeves are manufactured with fabric reinforcement providing structural support to the sleeve.
ubber sleeves provide immediate positive closure of the valve ensuring 100% leak-tight. The full port design of our rubber sleeve can easily handle slurry and solids where an unobstructed flow path is essential. When abrasive material strikes the surface of the elastomer sleeve, the impact is absorbed and deflected back into the particle. Thus the elastomer sleeve allows the surface to wear at a slower rate than metal or ceramic.
inch valves Rubber Sleeves (also known as muffs & tubes) are suitable for Acids, Chemicals, Oils, Slurries, Paints, Waste Water, Powders, Fertilizers, Sand, Inks, Adhesive, Gases, Steam, Fuels, Lubricants, Beverage, Alcohol, Dairy and Food Products, and many more.
ur special range or rubber sleeves can serve pressure up to 25 Bar with high abrasion resistance making our pinch valves most suited for mining and other industries.

Pneumatically actuated pinch valves are reasonable flow control solution for most demanding applications. After having many experiences in manufacturing manual wheel operated Pinch valves, we have also been successfully manufacturing and supplying pneumatic pinch valves.
Pneumatic cylinder operated pinch valves can be supplied as an on-off valve or throttling-control valve. We also manufacture chain or gear operated pinch valves, hydraulically actuated pinch valves and motorized electrically actuated pinch valves.
For information on working of pinch valves please visit Manual Pinch valve and for information on pinch valve sleeves visit rubber sleeve selection.
The flow through pneumatic pinch valve in the fully open position is full as that of a pipeline while ensuring leak-tight shut-off in the closed position.
These automatic Pinch valves are fitted with pneumatic accessories of well-known brands to ensure trouble-free long life and customer service back up as we provide for our pinch valves.
For Pneumatic Pinch valves, the handwheel of the manual pinch valve is replaced with a pneumatic cylinder, and Spindle is replaced by the piston of the pneumatic cylinder. Pneumatic pinch valves can be as normally open or close position. Further control/throttling in modulating type automatic valves can be achieved with an electro-pneumatic positioner.
Pinch Valve Opening Flow Coefficient Cv% (US units)
Q= Pinch valve flow rate (gpm) DP = Pressure drop through pinch valve (psi) D = Fluid density (p/cu ft)
Note: This chart is for the Pinch valve in the water service. Larger values will be required for Pinch valve for other applications – oil, slurry, sand, effluent, chemicals, etc
Pinch valve manufacturers offer highly engineered designs, a comparison of features among major manufacturers of pinch valves in India and around the globe helps in the decision making for pinch valve purchase.
Improvements with continuous Research & Development in making pinch valve rubber sleeve resistance to Abrasion, Corrosive Chemicals & High-Pressure applications. Due to this Pinch valves are now suitable for most tough applications. The reasons for increased usage are the availability of gear operated pinch valve, chain operated pinch valve, pneumatic On/Off pinch valve, and throttling control pinch valves along with normal manual operated pinch valves. Specialized molding of fabric reinforced rubber sleeve, like having reinforced lugs on either side of the sleeve also allows for operation on the suction side of a pump and in vacuum conditions without collapse.
Pinch valves require extra thrust to operate as to keep the rubber sleeve pinched (closed position) along with the pressurized service fluid. When the pinch valve is manually operated, it is advisable to have a gearbox operation to lower the manual hand wheel turning effort of pinch valves of higher sizes. Gear operated pinch valves can also be installed buried in a pit & the handwheel will be protruded from the ground.
Pinch valves with Pneumatic actuators are economical options towards atomized. The correct size of the linear motion pneumatic cylinder has to be chosen according to the thrust required to close the valve drop tight, keeping in mind that any extra thrust from the pneumatic cylinder would result in damaging the rubber sleeve by its extra closing pressure. The mostly double-acting pneumatic cylinder is used for pinch valves, which stays at the last position when the air fails and can be calibrated to normally open or normally closed. Pinch valve can also be actuated with a single-acting spring return pneumatic cylinder, where the spring force drives the piston rod to open or close position when the air fails. However, pinch valves with a single-acting air cylinder are recommended only for lower sized valves. Unlike a double-acting pneumatic cylinder, a much higher bore sized single-acting cylinder having a strong spring force is required to drive the piston rod during the fail-safe situation.
The trouble with air supply or air compressor maintenance can be avoided by using electric actuated pinch valves. Electric actuators are also suited for pinch valves. Electrically actuated pinch valve is with an electric motorized unit which drives the piston rod of the valve.
The initial purchase price of the pinch valve is just the total ownership cost of the valve. As abrasive and corrosive media wear the rubber sleeve, it must be replaced. Pinch valve sleeve is also known as pinch valve liner, rubber muff, rubber tube, or pinch valve hose. Elastomer quality, price, and frequency of pinch valve sleeve replacement are a major part of maintenance & costing, which also includes removal of a damaged rubber sleeve and reinstalling with a new one. The downtime, repair, product loss, contamination, clean up, and other factors per each sleeve replacement time. Accordingly, paying a bit more for the quality of fantastic reinforced rubber sleeves molded with actual virgin polymer compound for simply avoiding the recurring maintenance cost.
Pinch valves are full bore valves having smoothly streamlined internal with no disc, wedge, gate, or seals. Pinch valve thus offers a higher Cv value per valve size than other types of valves. This also makes pinch valve design suited to industrial and municipal services in India and worldwide where abrasive, corrosive, clogging slurry, sludge, liquid or bulk solids are processed. Pinch valves offer a cost-effective alternative to other types of metal-metal valves that do not offer a comparable mechanical advantage, chemical resistance, effective shut-off, or 100% full flow like in case of pinch valves.
Pinch valve users should always understand the process conditions for selecting the correct Pinch valve rubber sleeve to obtain full value and life. When problems with Pinch valves arise, It is only because of elastomer failure as the rubber sleeve is stretched and stressed during the closure. This often results in the cutting of the rubber sleeve around the pinch area, or incomplete closure resulting in high-velocity wear and shortened sleeve life. In some cases, users are simply unaware that specialized rubber sleeves with good quality double reinforcement are required for negative pressure/vacuum conditions and good life of sleeve or to avoid pump damage from sleeve collapse on the suction side.
